Painted entirely with my non-dominant hand, with no expectations or agenda in mind. Purely cathartic expression of creativity.

To me, this painting expresses the "something" that emerges from a void. As Hermes said, "As above, so below." The painting could represent the birth of our solar system or the consciousness of our selves, both on a solar and DNA basis. Also note that the void always exists, it is only our "circle" of awareness that brings experience into being and separates it from the void.

This was a fun, funky piece with no "deep meaning," The curved swirls resonate with feminine "yin" energy, while the straight lines represent masculine "yang" energy.

Like Neptune, Roman God of the Sea, my inspiration for this painting was very "watery" and relaxing music. The perfect catharsis for stress... listening to, painting and truly feeling the cleansing effects of water.

Symbolizing the power of the 4th chakra, center of giving and receiving love, I was inspired by a photograph in Yoga Journal. Hands outstretched in heart's opening, I could feel the flow of love grow from her heart to her head, arms, and feet, and reverberate through the world.

Traditionally, the pentagram is symbolic of the Golden Mean found in sacred geometry. The upward point on the star symbolizes spirit, while the others represent earth, air, fire and water.

The pattern repeats outward, carrying love to all elements in an eternal spiral outward, just as she is receptive of love from all that is, and brings it into the smallest of spaces in a continual open spiral.
